These Terms of Service are a binding contract between you, the User, and Just The Rip LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as Just The Rip, operator of https://justtherip.gg and related apps, wallets, and services. Principal office: 1309 Coffeen Avenue STE 1200, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States.
By creating an account, buying Rips, opening a pack, requesting shipment, clicking "I Agree," or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
We may refuse service, close accounts, cancel pending rips or shipments, and reclaim unshipped inventory if we reasonably believe these Terms or any law has been or will be violated.
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account, buy Rips, or rip packs. By using the Platform you represent that you are 18+, that the payment method is yours or used with the owner's authorization, and that you are not using the Platform on behalf of a minor.
You may use the Platform only in jurisdictions where this type of randomized collectible product is lawful. You are solely responsible for determining whether your use is legal where you live. We may geo-block states, countries, or IP ranges at any time, including jurisdictions that treat loot boxes, prize draws, or chance-based collectible sales as gambling.
Without limiting the foregoing, we may prohibit access from any location we designate, including (by way of example only, subject to counsel's list) jurisdictions that ban or tightly regulate online chance games or prize promotions. Attempting to evade a geo-block with a VPN, proxy, false address, or stolen identity is a material breach and grounds for immediate termination, forfeiture of Rips and unshipped cards, and reporting to payment processors and authorities.
The Platform is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete the account.
Just The Rip lets you buy platform credits called "Rips," spend those Rips to digitally open curated packs of trading-card-game cards, see the result instantly, and later request shipment of the corresponding physical cards we allocate to that result, subject to these Terms.
This is a retail collectibles experience. It is entertainment. It is not an investment product, not a security, not a commodity contract, not a bank account, and not a casino. You are buying a chance-allocated collectible, not a guaranteed market value. Most packs will return cards whose secondary-market value is less than what you paid. You may lose some or all of the money you spend. Do not spend money you cannot afford to lose.
We do not offer cash prizes, house-backed jackpots, or a right to redeem Rips for cash. Displayed dollar figures next to cards are unofficial third-party or internal estimates of secondary-market value. They are not offers to buy, not appraisals, and not promises that you can sell the card for that amount.
Nothing on the Platform is an offer to participate in an illegal lottery. If a court or regulator characterizes any feature as an illegal lottery, raffle, or gambling product in your jurisdiction, you must stop using that feature immediately. Your exclusive remedy for any feature we withdraw for legal reasons is a credit or refund of unused, unripped Rips actually paid for that feature, as required by law.
You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current, including a deliverable shipping address and a working email. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including purchases made by anyone you allow to use it. Notify us immediately of unauthorized use. We are not responsible for losses arising from an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer, see paragraph 2 in the Shipping section.
One natural person may maintain one account unless we approve otherwise in writing. We may require identity verification (government ID, self photo, card-issuer checks, address verification) before large purchases, withdrawals of product, or shipments. Refusal to verify is grounds to freeze the account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for chargebacks, suspected fraud, multi-accounting, abuse of promotions, harassment, underage use, or any other risk we reasonably identify.
"Rips" are a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use a prepaid balance on the Platform to open packs and, where we offer them, to pay for other Platform features. Rips are not legal tender, not a security, not stored-value under state money-transmitter law as we intend the product, and have no cash value outside the Platform except where non-waivable law requires a refund.
Rips are non-transferable. You may not sell, gift, barter, or escrow Rips or accounts except through a feature we expressly enable. We may cancel Rips obtained by fraud, error, or prohibited conduct.
ALL PURCHASES OF RIPS ARE FINAL once the payment processor authorizes the charge, except: (a) where a statute gives you a non-waivable cooling-off or refund right; (b) a documented processor or Platform error that credited the wrong amount; or (c) we elect, in our sole discretion, to issue a refund or courtesy credit. Opening a pack consumes Rips immediately. Consumed Rips are never refundable.
Unused Rips do not expire solely by the passage of time unless we give at least thirty (30) days' notice or as required to close an account for cause. If we shut down the Platform permanently, we will, to the extent required by law and commercially reasonable, provide a method to request shipment of allocated physical cards and/or a refund of unused paid Rips, less amounts already consumed and any chargebacks.
Promotional Rips, bonus Rips, referral Rips, and test-mode Rips have no cash value, may be subject to extra rules, and may be cancelled at any time.
Each pack listing will display a price in Rips and, before you confirm the rip, the then-current disclosed odds or drop-rate table for that pack. You are responsible for reading the odds before you click to rip. Completing a rip is your acknowledgment that you saw the odds and accepted the risk of the result.
Packs on Just The Rip are hand-curated product pools, not a promise that we are opening a factory-sealed retail booster of a named set in front of you unless a specific listing expressly says so. Card pools, substitution lists, and odds may change as inventory moves. Odds published at the moment you confirm the rip govern that rip. Past pull feeds and "top pulls" are examples, not a prediction of your next rip.
Randomization is performed by our systems. We do not guarantee that any particular user will experience results that match published odds over a small number of rips. Variance is expected. We do not "hot streak," "pity," or secretly re-weight results for or against any user except as a published pack mechanic (for example a disclosed guaranteed slot). Any claim that a result was "rigged" must be sent to us in writing within seven (7) days of the rip; we will review logs. Our determination of the logged result is final absent demonstrable system error.
If a rip fails mid-animation due to a Platform error and no result was committed to your inventory, we will restore the Rips. If a result was committed, that result stands.
When a rip result is committed, we allocate a corresponding physical card from inventory or from a third party vendor to your account. Until we deliver that card to a carrier for shipment to you, the card remains in our possession and you hold only a contractual right to request shipment of that specific allocation or a replacement we approve, not a bailment we insure for your benefit unless we say otherwise in writing.
Title and risk of loss pass to you when we tender the card to the carrier, or when you take possession if we use local pickup. We may combine multiple allocated cards into one shipment.
If the exact allocated card is not available — including because of stock error, supplier failure, loss, theft, damage, or a counterfeit discovered before ship — our sole obligation is to credit your account with Rips equal to the disclosed estimated market value of that card at the time of the rip. We may, in our discretion, instead substitute another physical card of equal or greater disclosed value. A Rips credit is not cash, is not a refund of the pack price, and does not reverse the rip. That credit or substitution is your exclusive remedy.
Card values displayed on the Platform are based on market conditions and may fluctuate at any time. Due to the volatility of the collectible card market, we reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to decline, cancel, or otherwise not fulfill any order for a card where the card's market value has materially changed following the placement of the order. For purposes of this provision, a material change includes, but is not limited to, a change in market value of fifteen percent (15%) or more, or a change of at least one hundred dollars ($100) from the listed price at the time the order was placed.
If we determine that an order is subject to a material change in value, we may cancel the affected order or decline to fulfill the card without liability for any difference between the listed price and the card's current market value. Where applicable, any payment received for an unfulfilled order will be refunded to the original payment method. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that collectible card values are subject to market fluctuations and that an order does not guarantee fulfillment where the card's value has materially changed as described above.
We represent that cards we ship are genuine cards originally produced by or under license from the relevant publisher and not counterfeits to our knowledge after reasonable incoming inspection. We are not the publisher. We do not grade cards unless a listing says the card is already graded by a named service.
Unless a listing or reveal expressly states a third-party grade (PSA, CGC, BGS, TAG, or similar), every raw card may grade as low as Moderately Played (MP) under commonly used hobby scales (NM / LP / MP). Light play, moderate play, edge wear, surface wear, whitening, print lines, scratches, and off-centering are accepted conditions. A card that is MP or better is conforming and is not defective. Heavily Played, Damaged, counterfeit, or altered cards are not conforming. Digital art and "top pull" photos do not promise Near Mint. Requests to return or replace an MP-or-better card because you wanted NM will be denied.
If you believe a shipped card is counterfeit, you must notify us within fourteen (14) days of delivery, hold the card unaltered, and follow our inspection instructions. We may require return of the card. If we reasonably confirm a counterfeit that originated from our fulfillment, we will replace or refund as in Section 7. We are not responsible for cards after you alter, sleeve-damage, submit to a grader, or resell them.
Shipping is not included in pack price unless a listing says so. You pay published shipping, insurance, and any customs or VAT assessed on the destination side. You must provide a complete, legal address where adult signatures can be obtained if we require them.
We are not responsible for losses arising from an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer, or for packages that have been marked as delivered or shipped by the applicable carrier, including packages that are lost, stolen, or otherwise unavailable after carrier confirmation. A signature will be required for all shipments with a value exceeding five hundred dollars ($500).
Delivery of a pulled card can take up to thirty (30) days from a complete, paid shipping request (or from the rip, if the pack includes shipping) to the carrier's first delivery-attempt scan in the contiguous United States. Thirty days is a target outer window, not a guaranteed arrival date. Sourcing, batch fulfillment, weekends, holidays, weather, carrier delays, address errors, signature requirements, and international customs can push a shipment past that window. A shipment that has not arrived by day 30 is not, by itself, a failed rip, a refund event, or grounds for a chargeback. Contact support@justtherip.gg if the window has passed and tracking has not moved.
We do not guarantee a specific ship-out day. High-value cards may require signature confirmation, adult signature, or restricted services. We may refuse to ship to freight-forwarders, P.O. boxes, hotels, or jurisdictions we do not serve.
If a package is returned as undeliverable, we may charge you to reship or, after thirty (30) days of no response, treat the cards as abandoned and cancel the fulfillment obligation, without refund of the original rip. Claims for carrier loss must be opened with us within seven (7) days of the carrier's first "delivered" or "exception" scan. We may require you to file a police report for high-value loss.
All replacement requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and we reserve the right to determine, in our sole discretion, whether a claim is eligible for replacement. Any claim involving a card valued at more than five hundred dollars ($500) will be subject to a full investigation and verification process to establish the validity of the claim before any replacement is authorized.
Prices are in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. You authorize us and our processors (including Stripe or any successor) to charge your selected method for Rips, shipping, taxes, and any reversal of a promotional credit. You represent that you will not file a chargeback or payment dispute for a completed rip whose result you simply dislike. Chargebacks for "I didn't win enough" or "I changed my mind after I saw the card" are a breach of these Terms.
If you initiate a chargeback, we may immediately freeze the account, withhold shipments, recover the cards or their value, add the processor's fees to what you owe, and report the dispute. We may offset any amount you owe against Rips or unshipped cards.
You are responsible for any sales, use, VAT, customs, or collectibles tax that applies to your purchase or to import of cards into your country. Where we are required to collect tax, we will add it at checkout.
ONCE A PACK IS RIPPED AND A RESULT IS COMMITTED TO YOUR ACCOUNT, THE TRANSACTION IS FINAL. We do not reverse rips because you are unhappy with the pull, because market prices moved, or because a similar card later appeared cheaper elsewhere. Statutory rights that cannot be waived (for example certain EU consumer rights, if we sell to those consumers) remain available only to the extent the statute applies.
Secondary-market prices fluctuate. Cards can become unsellable. "Top pulls," leaderboards, and dollar badges are marketing illustrations of possible outcomes, not typical outcomes. We do not promise that ripping packs is +EV, that you will profit, or that holding cards is a sound investment. You should assume you will lose money relative to pack price.
Just The Rip, JTR, the Platform design, pack names we create, software, and our logos are our property or our licensors'. You receive no rights in them except a limited license to use the Platform as allowed by these Terms.
Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Disney Lorcana, One Piece Card Game, Gundam Card Game, and all related names, characters, artwork, and logos are trademarks and copyrights of their respective owners. Just The Rip is an independent retailer of genuine secondary-market and/or wholesale collectible cards. We are not endorsed by, sponsored by, affiliated with, or associated with Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, The Pokémon Company International, Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro, Disney, Ravensburger, Bandai, Shueisha, Toei, or any other rights holder unless a page expressly says we are. Official product names are used only to identify the genuine cards being allocated.
You will not use the Platform to infringe any third-party right, scrape card images for a competing catalog, or imply official partnership.
You will not:
(a) use bots, scripts, or multi-accounts to abuse odds, promotions, or inventory; (b) attack, scrape, or reverse engineer the Platform; (c) launder money or cards; (d) resell Rips; (e) harass staff or other users; (f) post another person's personal information; (g) use the Platform if you are on a sanctions list or in an embargoed jurisdiction; or (h) use a stolen or unauthorized payment method.
Randomized pack opening can be habit-forming. Set a budget. Take breaks. Do not rip while impaired. If ripping stops being fun, stop. Resources that may help include the National Council on Problem Gambling (1-800-GAMBLER / ncpgambling.org) and similar local services. We may impose purchase limits or cool-off periods.
THE PLATFORM, RIPS, PACKS, ODDS TABLES, MARKET VALUES, AND CARDS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT RESULTS WILL MATCH PUBLISHED ODDS OVER YOUR PERSONAL SAMPLE OF RIPS OR THAT MARKET VALUES ARE ACCURATE.
We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service, that RNG output is free of all statistical deviation in small samples, or that any particular card will remain in stock after you rip.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JUST THE RIP AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR CARD VALUE, ARISING OUT OF THE PLATFORM, ANY RIP, ANY CARD, OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SPECIFIC PACK OR SHIPMENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). These caps are an essential basis of the bargain. They do not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for our own fraud or willful misconduct.
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Just The Rip and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your misuse of the Platform or of cards; (c) your violation of law or of a third-party right; (d) a chargeback you initiate after a completed rip; (e) your tax obligations; or (f) content you submit.
We process account, payment-adjacent, shipping, device, and usage data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform you consent to that processing, including transfers to vendors (hosting, analytics, age or ID verification, payment, shipping, customer support) that help us operate.
You may close your account by contacting support and ceasing use. We may suspend or terminate access at any time for any lawful reason. On termination for cause, unused promotional Rips are cancelled. Unused paid Rips and unshipped allocated cards will be handled as required by law and, otherwise, as we reasonably determine, including requiring you to pay shipping to take cards or forfeiting cards you do not claim within thirty (30) days of notice.
READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR RIGHT TO SUE IN COURT AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.
Except for (i) individual claims that qualify for small-claims court in Clark County, Nevada, and (ii) applications for temporary injunctive relief to protect intellectual property or Platform security, any dispute arising out of these Terms, the Platform, Rips, packs, or cards will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The seat of arbitration is Las Vegas, Nevada. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this clause.
YOU AND JUST THE RIP MAY BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not preside over any class or representative proceeding.
Before filing, the complaining party must send a written notice describing the claim and requested relief and wait thirty (30) days. Notices to us go to the address in Section 25. You and we waive any right to a jury trial to the fullest extent permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs arbitration. Subject to Section 21, exclusive venue for any permitted court action is the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, and you consent to jurisdiction there.
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on the Platform and changing the Effective Date. Material changes apply going forward. Continued use after the new Effective Date is acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Platform and request any fulfillment then required by law.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any pack-specific or checkout disclosures are the entire agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent needed and the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them. Headings are convenience only. "Including" means "including without limitation."
All customer, privacy, and legal notices to Just The Rip go to a single inbox: support@justtherip.gg. Formal legal process may also be mailed to Just The Rip LLC, 1309 Coffeen Avenue STE 1200, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, USA. Notices to you may be sent to the email on your account or posted in the Platform.
Survival. Sections 3, 5–8, 10–18, 20–24, and any other clause that by its nature should survive, survive termination.
